We just noticed on our Sep. 2004 Credit Card bill a $9.00 charge by a company called "WLI*reservationrewards". The same charge in the previous two months had escaped our attention. The entry on the credit card bill included the phone no. 800-732-7031.
Calling this no. Leads one quickly to "To quickly and conveniently cancel your membership, Press 1". No mention of a refund!
I was able to reach a Customer Service Representative who informed me that I had signed up for the service through an "e-box" - like e-bay he said. He eventually agreed, after getting rather irritated, to refund all three months "Service" and provided a Cancellation No. That was promptly e-mailed to me. What this will do remains to be seen.
If I don't see a $27.00 credit real soon I will report again. I still do not know how they got my Credit Card No., coupled with my work e-mail address and my home mailing address. I never signed up for this service that I don't want or need.
