Complaint / review text:
I booked and paid for a room 2 weeks in advance with hotel.com only to arrive and find out that i had no room. I flew 7 hours to manhatten and paid $40 in cab fares to get to the hotel and then had to go to jersy city to finally find a room. Hotel.com never notified me that the hotel was booked although they said that they did, I was stranded and had already paid over $500 for the room - they told me on the phone that it would take 2 weeks for a refund of my money. So there I was in NY with no hotel and no money.
Very poor service - they took my money and are holding it for 2 weeks on false pretence that I would get a room.
I wonder how much money they make in interest off of ripping all of these people offlike this.
