Holiday Travel Of America
HTOA confirmed ripoff artists from firsthand knowledge

I can confirm that Holiday Travel of America is out to rip off their customers. The whole idea of their scam is to offer free trips to interested parties, which are distributed at seminars, conventions, etc.in the form of certificates. However, the purpose of these certificates is not to give out free trips, but to entice the customer to "upgrade" their status in order to take a "better" deal.

Funds received for these upgrades are what determines the profit of the company and people who buy into it are what keeps this company in business. The "free" trip which you are entitled to on the certificate will never be given to you, because the entire premise of distributing the certificates is to essentially force you to pay for an upgrade in order to take advantage of your certificate.
For example, if you have a certificate for a free cruise, you are technically entitled to the free cruise, but only in the cheapest cabin and only on certain dates.

Of course, these type of accomdations are always "unavailable" during the dates you request when filling out the certificate.

However, if you can "upgrade" to a nicer cabin, etc. You will be able to book yourself on a nice cruise. But since the "upgrade" costs money, it's no longer a free trip now, is it?

So, while Holiday Travel of America can provide you with a nice package vacation, they are not in the business of giving out free trips.in my opinion, you are better off just dealing with a reputable travel agency, instead of dealing with the headache and disappointment of thinking you won a free trip, filling out forms, making plans for your "free" trip, only to be told you cannot take advantage of the "free" trip you"won" unless you are willing to "upgrade" your status.

Moral of the story: You get what you pay for, and unless Ed McMahon is knocking at your door with your free cruise tickets and a million dollar check, don't believe the hype of free stuff when you buy into a timeshare or spin the wheel at some convention to get a free prize because you bought something from someone.
