In my wife received an unsolicited telephone call from Takemeonvacation. The salesman convinced her that it was a bargain vacation with cruise to Nassau, Bahamas. No mention of the required timeshare presentation.
As it was to be a surprise to me, I did not see the small print which says that after 30 days, no refund is made. I have written to them twice, advising them that following major surgery, and worsened Multiple Sclerosis, she is no longer in a position to travel anywhere.
They did leave messages on the answering service, but the return number did not connect, on several attempts.
The deadline for taking the vacation, or extending it, have now passed, though in any case, neither would have been of any use to us.
So we are 500 out of pocket, be warned, the same thing could happen to anyone. I have now signed up for the Telephone Preference Service to block similar calls in the future; I would advise everyone to do the same.
