I made the mistake of staying at this hotel. It ended in a lawsuit. These people are by far the most two faced crooked hotel operators I have ever dealt with and I stayed in Ukraine!!! The place is run by a low life named "Mike". He is head of security. He is head of reservations. He is head of guest relations. The guy is the manager but makes up special titles and only after having a range of problem do you pick up on this fact. If unhappy with his service, he is also the complaint department. It was an extremely windy winter day as a storm system was moving in and the Hotel neglected to remove all of the higher floors. I was calling sales leads in my work truck (to big to fit in garage) parked up against the hotel as close to the front of the building as you could park. My son was sitting next to me in the front. He was 6 at the time. Guess what a freaking white plastic lawn type chair flew off a third floor balcony and struck my fender. Scared the S—T out of us!!! We went in and security recovered the chair as theirs and apologized for the damage to my truck. They told me to call the "head of security" Mike and I did. I played phone tag with him days after I left I finally got a hold of him. He said "I was home all day on Sunday and there was no wind so how could a chair blow off the balcony?". I was amazed at this moron's comments questioning a victim of the Hotel's gross negligence. He told me he lives inland. Have you ever noticed ocean front is windier than inland? Long story short he was a total jerk. I called and called, and after I filed a lawsuit they agreed to file an insurance claim. Too late. We already had a court date. The hotel's insurance company sent a Lawyer woman from Baltimore to appear. I had more pressing business in Ohio to attend too. I ended up eating $480 in damages to my vehicle. It was 1 year old at the time. My stay was very smelly. The water was dirty in the pool and there was no heat in the "Hot Tub". I thought that I was bit by horse flies even though it was winter. I was later informed it was bed bugs. I have heard stories from many others that the hotel is over run with bed bugs these days. It smelled like stail smoke and was in need of remodeling. One elevator was broken. I remember those stairs. What a pain in the but my stay was. Costly too. This guy Mike is straight out of a special needs program. I would recommend steering clear of these gypsy type carnival sideshow people. Not professional at all. This is all public record. You can look up the lawsuit online. Best of luck if you stay with these folks. I really enjoy the area, but this place is unreal. The stay was over priced and they way under delivered. I cannot believe that just because the board that manages this facility is almost bankrupt, that they would run the place into the ground this bad.in the 1980's it was fun. I was a kid then. No vehicular damage or weird bites on my back. Much more fun. Hey Mike, Grow up!
