In August I booked the last days on my planned Ireland vacation at Travelodge Dublin Airport Swords through Roomex. Because of Hurricane Irene which hit the US east coast shortly after my arrival in Ireland I was forced to shorten my stay. Because I booked the Travelodge over the internet I was not able to cancel my reservation by phone in Ireland, so, on return to the US, after multiple emails I was able to cancel the reservation a week before my scheduled arrival at the hotel. Travelodge was willing to refund my E38.16 deposit but Roomex, which was quick to send me all sorts of 'feelgood' Repeat Customet Discount offers was 'Sorry Charlie' on refunding my deposit.
Next time I'll book the hotel direct. Sorry Roomex. You're the absolute pits.
