Made reservations directly through Travelodge 800 # (after looking up info on the internet) for July 18 and 19 at the Ephrata Travelodge. Confirmed Honey of a Deal Promo applied at 2nd night half off, made reservation with a credit card and got the confirmation number.
Got to Ephrata Travelodge on the 18th and was told they do not honor Honey of a Deal Promo, and did not have a reservation for us. Called the 800 # from the office, and again confirmed the reservation and rate, and the agents supervisor spoke to the man at the desk... Still refused to honor Promo; but was able to give us a room at the regular price.
The agent from the 800 # told us to keep receipts and contact them when we got back. I did (via email), and received a reply that they would look into it, and have not heard anything else.
The difference in the rate was $25.00, not really a big deal, but I assumed they would refund me the differnce right away; keep the customer happy since this time the customer was actually right!
Unfornately for them, I work for an Airline, and am often asked my recommendation of affordable hotels... Travelodge will not be on my list anymore!
