I am so upset and dissappointed with Absolute Reservation. I have always been skeptical of offers that seem to be to good to be true, and guess what, this one was.
I placed a vacation package order with an 800 number that came through over a fax to my business. My credit was immediately charged. When I received the package of information 2 weeks later, I was shocked to see an additional fee that was not communicated to me at the time I placed the order.
At that time, I tried to exercise a cancellation clause that was in the reservation agreement. When I called to cancel, A1 Travel told me to call Asbolute because my file was transferred to them. When I called Absolute, they said call A1 Travel.
I called A1 Travel back, and they said call the agency who made the reservation. When I called that agency, I was told that only Jean at ext. 213 could help me. After being unsuccessful in reaching Jean (leaving 20 messages over a 2 week period), I'm convinced that Jean does not exist. I honestly called two to three times a day for 2 weeks! NO RESPONSE!
After I didn't get anywhere with a cancellation, I decided to proceed with the reservation since they already had my money. I called Absolute back at 407-660-9995 ext. 1051. Over another 3 week period, I called 3 times a day and left a message each time with Ashley. STILL NO RESPONSE! Finally, one day I called ext. 1014 and I got an answer. Christine told me to fax my reservation request to an incorrect fax number.
Needless to say, I'm still waiting to hear from someone. After this email, I'm sure I'll be waiting a long time. But hopefully, I can at least save the reader of this email some money.
