Intown Suites, in Midlothian, VA ripped me off for my deposit money. $100.00 That isn't much, but it's my money, and I didn't have any damages to the room or furnishings. I wasn't able to give the required 24 hour notice for checkout, which is manditory for getting your $100.00 cash deposit back upon checkout. I did however give a notice, but only 4 hours had passed, so Jan the girl at the desk says she'll give back only $50.00 if I want my deposit now. But the company will send $100.00 check within 30 days if I want it all and can wait. Of course I wanted the full $100.00, but I should have taken the $50.00.
Because the check took 67 days to get to me, then when I went to cash it, Bank of America ran the check and said it wasn't any good. They said it wasn't a cleared check to cash, and after spending 20 minutes on the phone with a troubleshooting line, the Bank said it could be a fake check.
When I called Jan back at the Intown suites, she gave me a managers name and # at corporate, she said good luck, because this manager Chris sometimes rips off peoples Deposits. (Contractors such as myself) I called and left cordial messages for three weeks, then angry messages for two weeks, and to this date I've never been contacted back.
Four months have now passed. I'm online now, so I'm able to file a complaint. My story and the Office girl Jans' rip-off statement about Chris the manager at corporate are 100% true, and I just can't believe that a company that big would practice giving such horrible disreguard to their customers.
