I am Hilton Honors member which means that I stay at their properties often. I've been a member for over ten years. I had a pair of Lucky Brand jeans taken out of my room while staying at the Las Vegas Hilton in June. This kind of stuff happens when an employee becomes disgrunteled and decides to take it out on the hotel and it's customers. Usually the hotel or chain will compensate its loyal customers for their loss in some way to prevent the loss of their business.
The Las Vegas Hilton is an exception to this part of customer service. It falls back on legal disclaimers and refuses to compensate anyone. I have never had to keep my clothing under lock and key in a Hilton Property. Any one thinking about booking a room at the Las Vegas Hilton needs to be aware of this problem at the hotel. I have also reported this problem to Hilton Corporate but have not gotten a response.
