As a "road warrior" I spent many nights at Hilton Properties while out of town. I retired this year. I had been planning a trip for my wife and I and was going to use hilton hotel points.
I tried to access my account only to find that hilton had deactivated my account. I received no emails stating my account would be deactivated or that I had to have activity. To me, the term "points will never expire" means you can use them whenever. Not so. I called their customer service line and complained. To their credit, I received half of my points back, Hah! I wrote the president of Hilton Worldwide who then sluffed the letter of to an underling. This person didn't have the professional courtesy to send a formal reply. He emailed me sayong sorry about your luck.
Bottom line if any of you "Road Warriors" stay will Hilton, be certain to keep activity going in your account.
They are a lousy company to do business with.
