I was having difficulty booking online for a flight and accommodation package, so called their customer service number. I spoke with a rep who confirmed the sale price for the package and said she would book it for me. She booked the accommodation part (I received an invoice to my email account confirming same) and then booked the flight seperately, causing me to get billed a higher amount by the airline. This meant the total package cost was significantly higher than what I had been quoted.
Upon noticing this, I called the customer service line again, and was put on hold for an hour and half - at which time I hung up as I had a meeting to attend. I called back later that night and was on and off being on hold for nearly two hours.

Expedia is claiming that it was my fault for booking the flight and accommodation seperately. NO! I did not, a representative of Expedia advised that she was making the reservations on my behalf and I only authorized a transaction for X amount - she did not advise that by her doing the way she was would cost me more. Expedia is continuing to deny refunding me the $250 owed to me until they can listen to the recording of my conversation with the representative (they offered me a $100 coupon for my next Expedia purchase... I refused as (a) it isn't even for the amount that they have overcharged me and (b) clearly I won't be making any purchases with them any time soon!).
