Based off of Orbitz's website info - I thought I was booking a 3 out of 5 star hotel at a decent price. The hotel was nothing as advertised. They show a brand new hotel with the grand opening banner hanging from the building (you can see it for yourself)- that was not the same hotel I booked. I checked in friday afternoon & checked out friday night. The hotel Clarion said they couldnt offer any refund for cancellation - orbitz handles that because they're the ones with my credit card info. I contacted orbitz & they cant refund the room - only the hotel can authorize. Why was I cancelling? The room I was promised was a clean, modern King size bed room. The "free" parking included six parking spots for all the guests so good luck finding one. The elevator is disgusting & dirty & loud & located directly across from my room. Once off the elevator, the dark stained carpets are the first thing you notice then you are offended with such a foul smell as you go into the room. This so called modern hotel included; old & out dated, dirty, broken dresser & chair. The bed spread had visible dirt stains. The only mangerial consistency is no assistance and rudeness - how can I not be satisfied with what I was given -that is their attitude and not, how can we fix this matter. Trying to resolve billing disputes, and be refunded is impossible because you are told to speak with so & so tomorrow only to call & the manager not be there til the next day. However today's manager on staff is extra special as she swears I was there for both nights & in fact did not check out friday night!!! Listen - I was lied to by Orbitz's website & now the Hotel Clarion has blantantly refused any refund because they claim I never checked out friday night. This has to be an episode of punked because I just cant believe Orbitz & The Clarion hotel are perpetrating as actual professional businesses.
