I bought a round trip ticket from LHR to SFO on 6/23. I left London on 7/29, but when I tried to get back to London on 8/14 United told me they revoked my ticket. This is because when they called my grandmother's house (my official US address) to verify the transaction she did not approve it. Whatever the conversation was between United and my grandmother I am certain that she did not understand United's representatives. I was not available to speak with, considering I had purchased a flight from London to San Francisco that left on the previous day. I am now stuck in San Francisco trying to get on a flight back to England and United is asking me to re-purchase a ticket I already paid for (with proof from my bank!) with no offer to refund either ticket. They’ve resorted to thievery?
