I called Hotels.com to ask about the hotel i was viewing on their website. They made the reservation for me over the phone and told me the price of the hotel i wanted. They took my credit card info and then confirmed everything again including the price. I get my email confirmation to find out that they charge with the tax (not broken out) their fees that were never discussed.
Do to the $83 hike in price, it got me to look around and find priceline.com with out any BS. Final solution: Went directly to the hotels own site and booked at priceline's prices with a 10% off spring special!!! I am please and will talk crap on Hotels.com the rest of my life! Bait and Switch... Really? Your not better than that?
