Called and booked a room was told a different price per nite than when I got confirmation e-mail it was $300 more than what I was quoted

Called Hotels.com to book a room in SanDiego CA, we were told that we would get the room for $99.00 per nite. When we got the e-mail confirmation we were billed $300.00 more for the week. I tried to call and file a complaint with a supervisor, was put on hold many times and was told non were available. We canceled the reservation and booked with another company. There is no way to file a complaint and if you don't check your confirmation you could get ripped off!
