We paid for $4120 tickets to India in September and delivered check to shell office in San Francisco.
Days before scheduled departure, we repeatedly called and emailed the agent ("Raj") asking about our tickets. He assured us everything was taken care of and we just had to show up at the airport with our passports.
Our flight to London was OK, but we tried to board the next connection to Bombay, British Airways told us the tickets were never purchased. We were stuck in London with our bags on the way to Bombay. We were allowed to continue with the expectation there was a paperwork mixup.
In the end, it proved the tickets were never purchased, and it cost us over $4200 extra to get back from India. The 800 number was disconnected while we were in India (late December). The agent now does not respond to any emails and has refused to refund us our money
