I recently was arranged on trip AA 4380 from Boston to Toronto.
My trip was to get a Friday July 29th.
Sadly my mom-in law died Wednesday July 28th. This pushed me to possess to alter my ideas in the last second and travel to toronto July 28th.
When requesting a "bereavement" cost I had been told none existed. More i wasn't permitted to alter my Friday trip towards the Thursday.
I had been compelled to stop my Friday trip which charge me cash and purchase a brand new solution for that same-day that was about $900.00.
When asking the costs I had been educated that flying exactly the same evening was probably the most costly method to travel. That the person should plan ahead.
I suppose next time somebody dies in my own household I'll provide them with my flight timetable so anything operates based on the flight guidelines.
Shame about the American Airlines.
