My wife and I travel to Cozumel, MX usually twice a year. We normally book our trips through Funjet, but due to the late booking our travel agent booked us with MLT.
We were to leave DFW airport to fly to COZ. We were to pick up our itinary at the gate. The MLT attendent had to handwrite our itinary for some reason. We left 2 hours late and finally arrived in Cozumel. After deboarding, we met the MLT rep in coz and she told us we were booked at the Fiesta Americana. WE HAD BOOKED THE REEF CLUB as we had stayed there several times in the past. We were told we HAD to stay at the Fiesta, even though our itinary said the REEF Club. We argued with the rep and finally she just left us alone in the airport, we called back to the states from the airport ($145 later) finally we gave in a went to the Fiesta. We were afraid we wouldnt have a place to stay if we didnt. We finally got to go to the reef club after another $105 in phone charges to our travel agent.By the way our travel agent absorbed the extra charges (Associated Travel).
Our flight left 5 hours late on the way back.
What really burns me up is that all MLT has been willing to do to make this right was issue a $50 credit for our next trip that cost over $1000 per person. WE NEVER PAY THAT MUCH FOR A TRIP TO MEXICO.
The customer service with MLT has been horrible. NO ONE HAS EVEN CONTACTED me after numerous phone calls and emails.
