Scam Alert! I booked a cruise using my Barclays Carnival card. They tell you on the ship tat you can redeem the points for on board credit and so forth. So I booked the cruise in April and tried to redeem the points for my cruise in July. I was told I had to wait till closer to the cruise date. 15 days before the cruise date to redeem the points. I waited till then and was told by someone in the Philippines that now I had waited too long to redeem them and could not use them. I could not use them for statement credit either, because I had paid off the card. What??? So the 3000 points which I was planning to use for stuff on the ship are useless.
I will be sure to make it a point to place myself near any of the credit card sellers on the ship and tell people what a true scam it is.
