Two weeks after my father died in 2004 my sister and I went to Las Vegas. (We already had the trip planned.) We met a "timeshare rep" that promised us a gift (I have even forgot what the gift was.) My sister told me to go, I was a widow at that time with a 14 year old daughter. The place is the Carriage House, which is very nice. The talk was smooth and inviting. For $8K I could have a bi-annual week in Las Vegas. Having not traveled much, I thought it would be fun for my daughter and I. So I signed on the dotted line. Then I up-graded to a 2 bedroom for 14K @ 17% plus 14 additional weeks.
