My husband and I went to Las Vegas for his 30th Birthday. When were entering the Hotel we were staying at, The Luxor we were approach by a man and a woman to see if we were interested on getting free stuff as long as we went to a 2 hours presentation. We did and we got suck into buying the timeshare that was suppose to change our ways of vacationing. They promise five star hotels for a whole week, book at anytime and very reasonably. They forgot to say the small print of their Financial Department Flactuate their own interest their own terms and that Its not book at just anytime when its almost never. We bought the time at the Granview in June for $11,000. The entails 1 week every other year for a 1 bedroom. We put in a deposit of $2,000 which brought our debt to $9,000 which we finance through ElDorado. Our payments are $188.00 per month, which I have been paying for the last 1 year and 4 months.
We have been trying to book a vacation for the last 16 months through RCI which is the resorts exchange company and they never have availability to where we want to go which is to The Whyndam Glacier Canyon - In Lake Delton, Wisconsin.in the last 16 months we have spent close to $5,000 for a timeshare that was suppose to change our vacationing style, however we have not been able to take a vacation.in $2000 went towards interest because ELDorado interest rates encrease whenever they feel like it even thought they told us that it would 17% and we still owe $8000 on the timeshare and have not been able to take a vacation. Their customer service is another big subject which to say the least, their very uneffeciant and Rude. And on top of that dealing with RCI is another big monster. We are very frustrated, have not been able to take a vacation and incurred a $12,000 debt in which we have pay $5000 in which only $3000 has gone towards the $12,000 because of the adjustable interest rates.
