I stayed at the Golden Nugget in October. It was hard enough deciding to go by air because of Sept. 11th. When I booked it they NEVER told me that the pool would be closed and that we would have to take a van during certain hours to the Mirage hotel (another of Steve Wynn's hotels).
This was a major inconvenience. If the person that originally took my reservation told me at least I would have been prepared. I do not think Maurice Wooden, the Director of Hotel Operations reply was compassionate at all.
I think they should have at least offered a one night free stay for this major 4 day inconvenience and interruption of our vacation. I do not take alot of vacations and I would hope this could be resolved by this complaint method.
