Seating - customer service

My wife and I flew from Atlantic City to Ft Lauderdale Fl We didn't pay additional for seats so they put us in row 26. We had 9 inches of leg room. Not enough room for an adult. Extreme discomfort. They have no right to sell seats that they know will be inadequate!
