Barbara Gilroy, My Assigned Specialist And Anyone Else That Works There In The Office. Attention consumers, please beware of scam expedited passport services. - Internet

Attention all prospective consumers looking to use expedited passport services provided by Rushmypassport.com or Expeditedtravel.com. Please beware of scam services provided by them. I signed up with Rushmypassport on May 6 and was supposed to receive my passport by May 15th for 5-7 days expedited service. Well they took my money, put me on suspension and lied to me, overcharged my debit card, failed to communicate with me as to when I would receive my passport, missed my trip, and I had to track down my own passport through the National Passport Information Center.

I am in the processing of disputing those charges with my bank and getting those charges reversed back, for failure to deliver expedited 5-7 day passport processing services. Even their site says "we can process your documents in as quickly as in 24 hours or your money back." They can't state that on their home page and not honor that. Also, don't get lured into all those big corporte names as testimonials on their site as references. I saw the MSNBC logo, Forbes.com, CNN.com and etc... Which I thought made them credible to use for fast passport services. Boy was I wrong, and don't believe what you always see or read.

My assigned specialist and everyone else working there in the office does not care about helping consumers get their passport on time, they just assist you through the process to take your money. Once they get that, they don't care to follow up with you because they're too busy taking other hard working consumers' money and then doing the same onto them. They're excuse is that there are are hundreds of phone calls and issues for them to deal with. Which is even worse to hear.

My assigned specialist wouldn't even return my phone calls and reply back to my emails. Only until I completed an online survey, is when she emailed me back, on June 02, admitting not knowing when I would receive my passport. Can you imagine these agencies taking $209 for just their processing fee and $60 for FedEx and multiplying that by hundreds of customers and not delivering on a timely basis? It may not happen to all of them, but it may happen to a percentage (which is still a large chunck of change). Don't forget they operate under another name too. That's just bad business.

I got so frustrated that I built a website so go www.passportscams.com and you can read the details of my horrific experience. I built a website and posted it on the Internet to let others be alert, aware, save money, and any possible headache/frustration in the future.in addition, I provided updates in the news about recent passport rules and regulations for traveling with a passport. If you do decide to still use them for services, then I provided some helpful tips on how to cover your basis so they can't blame you for any delay (be put on "suspension").

If you applied for passport services with them in the past and need help trying to track it down yourself, I provided a phone number for you to call. I was able to track mine down that way, and it arrived on my doorstep in less than 48 hrs. (several weeks after it was supposed to arrive - June 3). It's no suprise that I still haven't heard from my assigned specialist, even when she said she would contact me once she got any updates. She lied to me and I asked her specifically to call me on a daily basis until she got confirmation. If I hadn't invested my own time and effort, it would probably still be lost in the shuffle.

I would highly recommend your best bet is to just go to your local gov't passport office and apply for expedited services there. You can even go to www.travel. State. Gov to get more information on how to do so. Best wishes to all of you looking for expedited passport services, please use caution and always do research before signing up with any passport agency.

Sincerely,

Lea
