According to Hotwire, a 3 star hotel is a Holiday Inn, Marriott or similar hotel-please note that these hotels have rooms that do not allow animals. When I purchased a 3 star hotel in Charleston, SC, they assigned me to a La Quinta Hotel which was 100% pet friendly. No where in any advertisement does it mention La Quinta or 100% pet friendly.
I am very allergic to animals and cannot stay at a pet friendly hotel. I immediately called Hotwire.com and talked to Laurie. Laurie told me that La Quinta refused to refund our money. I then talked to Laurie's supervisor, J.P. And she confirmed that La Quinta has refused to refund our money. So, I called La Quinta and talked to Valerie Smith. Valerie Smith seemed very confused and told me that she told Hotwire.com to refund our money. She further stated that La Quinta is aware that allergies can be a serious medical problem and that it is La Quinta's policy to provide refunds to those customer with allergies. I called Hotwire.com and told them that Ms. Smith was willing to sign a statement saying that La Quinta has refunded our money.
In conclusion, an employee and a supervisor for Hotwire.com bold faced lied to me in order to keep my money. Only after they were caught in thier lies, the money was refunded.
