I booked my reservation through Tripres.com for a six-night stay at M Spa and Casino Hotel, Las Vegas, NV. Tripres.com did not tell me that in addition to the amount I paid them for the six nights, I would incur an "Amenities Fee" at the hotel, which would not be negotiable or refundable.
When I arrived at the hotel for check-in I was informed that an "Amenities Fee" of $27.50 per night would be charged. I inquired as to why I was not informed by the booking agent, and the M Hotel employee told me that I should have been informed when I made the reservation.
When I inquired as to what the "Amenities Fee" was for, I was told that it was for use of the spa, workout facilities, swimming pool, etc. I responded that I would not be using these facilities, and I was informed that the fee would be charged, whether or not I used anything covered by the fee.
I phoned Tripres.com at 1-800-255-0372 and asked why I was not told about the "Amenities Fee" and they told me that if I had searched the M Spa and Casino Hotel web pages I would have found that information. I told them that I had trusted their web pages for the information I would need, and that any additional charges should have been revealed to me when I booked the reservation.
Their attitude was, "Too bad... You should have checked more thoroughly." I will never use their services again, and I do not recommend that others do so. This lesson cost me $165.00 that I could have used elsewhere.
