On May 21, I called The Fred Rick Motel and made a week reservation for July 10 - July 17. I received a confirmation letter from The Fred Rick Motel on May 26. On June 11, my husband fell and tore his achilles tendon and had to have surgery on June 13. June 19, I called The Fred Rick Motel and asked if the the motel had an elevator and was told "NO". I then asked if there was a 2bedroom suite available for the same dates on the 1st floor and was told "NO" I informed The Fred Rick of my husband injury and told them I need to cancel the reservation. I asked about the deposit and was told I would get $100.00 back.
Contacted The Fred Rick on numerous occasions. No response.
On September 4, An attorney service thru my husband's job sent The Fred Rick Motel a letter regarding the situation. They did not respond to the letter. On September 24, I filed a complaint with BBB. Neither have I had any response thru that complaint.
Well, one might say $85.00 (100.00 - 15.00) is not much.
May not be but rightfully, it belongs to my husband and I. We was promised that we would get the money back and when someone knowingly keeps something that belongs to someone else, that is STEALING!!!
