I became a vacation club member with this company in Oct. 2008. At the time of purchase I was told that I would be able to vacation using my vacation points at any given time as long as I reserved 10 days ahead of vacation date.
I have tried to schedule vacations on several occasions to use my member points that I have already paid for and no luck! There is never anything available to accomadate my family size or the dates I pick.
In the meantime, while already frustrated over this issue, I have started receiving bills for maintenance fees, a fee that I along with others that also purchased at the same time were told that we did not have to worry about.
And last but definitely not least I have also been notified now after purchasing that there is yet another fee that I am also responsible for and that is Vacation Club Dues!
Watch out! Bluegreen sales reps will tell you anything to get you to join their vacation club and I mean anything. This is a total shock since this is my first time joining a vacation club and will probably be the last.
I have taken my family to 2 other resorts which has cost money that I could have and should have been able to save by becoming a "vacation club member. "I have points that I have paid for and will expire before I will ever have a chance to use them. I will also be responsible for paying thousands of dollars in order to remain a member and stay within my contract agreement.
Maintenance fees are billed annually and the same for the vacation club dues.
