SmarTravel signs people up at concerts and other large venues for a chance to win $50,000, no obligation. Then they hound you relentlessly by phone to hear one of their no obligation short presentations, with the promise of $300 in free gas, $25 dinner certificate and other freebies.
Their presentation is lengthy and high pressure afterwards. I told them I wasn't interested and they made me see three different salesmen before issuing me my free gifts. The whole process took over two hours. The company who issues the $25/month in gas cards never sent them, after they make you jump through hoops every month by mailing in receipts. At first they offered lots of excuses about their computer system. Now their phones are disconnected.
The whole organization is sleazey from top to bottom. Don't buy anything from them and don't go to the presentations.
