We hired Travel Central to handle our
daughter's "weddingmoon" in Jamaica. From the beginning Cynthia Ball screwed everything up. Letters were sent out with wrong information, itineraries wrong, etc... Approx. 2 wks prior to departure we were contacted by the Beaches representative who stated that they hadn't received payment for the reception to be held after the wedding. My daughter was upset as she had already sent payment.
After further discussion the rep from the resort had told us that they are no longer dealing with Ms. Ball as they are currently in litigation. We were told that she had withheld monies from them. After further investigation we found out that payments made on the rooms booked by guests were paid for by other people's credit cards (not ours), (you know the old saying: steal from Peter to pay Paul)..
After contacting Ms. Ball she of course blamed Beaches and stated everything was fine. Needless to say when our daughter got to the resort they did not have a Honeymoon room, there were things that were promised to us but the resort had no idea they were promised. We were told each guest would receive a $25 resort credit but to no dismay the resort knew nothing about it and the guests received nothing.
I personally called Ms. Ball to discuss these matters and explain my concern and disappointment; (after all the point of hiring her was to alleviate stress and confusion, and we received nothing but disappointment) however, she ended up hanging up on me and would not take any further calls.
