I want to write about United Airlines in this letter. I want to make this long situation short. On Christmas Day I flew to Columbia South Carolina from the Dulles Airport in Virginia. When I flew out I was denied bag check-in because I wasn't within the 45 minute time period. I thought it was 30 minutes in the United States I was never informed that it was 45. Then I missed my flight because the supervisor told me that I could make my plane and didn't tell me that I had to board within the 10 minute guideline.in addition he knew that he could have rebooked me instead he just sent me on a wild goose chase. I also had to throw away $100.00 in personal items to then be told that I could maybe get them back. After all of the trouble that I went through I was still rebooked and I could have checked my bags to the next flight.
Upon returning from South Carolina the flights were cancelled due to fog. They really didn't give us any other choice but to take a 10 hour bus ride back to Dulles. All of the flights for the next couple of days were over booked. The bus was supposed to leave at 7AM but didn't leave until 835. This was the most horrible experience with flying that I have ever had. I will never fly with them again!
United Rips people off because they promise Air transportation for a comparable price but do not keep their end of the bargain. They didn't offer a discount or nothing at all.in addition I wrote and specified my concerns and they have not got back to me yet. I guess they got their money and that is all they care about. I didn't pay to ride a bus I paid because I want the convenience of flying. I expected the customer service representative to be courteous and responsive by not giving adequate information and very unsympathetic and rude. United does not keep their end of the bargain in their deals they take your money and then treat you like cattle.
