We made a reservations... However when we arrived the unit had no heat and it was 9 degrees below 0 C. The office was closed... You left a key on the door. So the unit was not fit to stay in. We put the key back and check in next door. We never accepted the unit, stayed in the unit. We never authorized the charge, signed for it or agreed to the charges. We demand a refund for the charges or we will file a dispute claim with the credit card company, better business bureau, and local rent authority. Renting a unit without adequate heat is fraud and unlawful.

We are sorry to hear you were not satisfied with your room. However, upon seeing that you had left our on site manager went into the room right after you left. The room was warm and the heater was running. Maintenance double checked the heater the next day and it was still working fine. There was an emergency number posted on the door which you could have called and another room would have been arranged. We regret that we do not give refunds during the holidays which is specifically stated in your confirmation letter and attached brochure. Mr. Xxxx, we at Chalet Village want our guest to have an enjoyable stay and we would have done everything we could to make you happy.

We regret having to bring a compliant to your attention. However we had a very poor experience with Chalet Village. They are renting units commercially so we believe they must have some kind of commercial license and / or building occupancy permit.
We made a reservation for accommodation at Chalet Village on the night of Nov 19th and 20th. When we arrived the unit they assigned... By leaving a key on the door was 4B... We went to the unit and found it had inadequate heat. It was -9c that night. The room was freezing. The floor board heater did not work. They had a very small electric wall unit running by the bed. This small wall unit is grossly inadequate to heat this unit including bathroom. We believe this is a clear rental and or building code violations. We strongly recommend you inspect the unit.
You can read (the email reply) that they obviously thought the heat was inadequate as they had it serviced the following day and this was before we even complained about it. We complained to them a week later after seeing the charge on our card.By their own email they admit the unit needed service / maintenance.
It's sad to have the Chalet Village... Putting such an ugly stain on Brian Head. We found the rest of the biz's, resort and accommodations perfect. I would like to comment when we expressed our experience to other Brian Head locals and businesses... They where not surprised and indicated they had heard this before about Chalet Village.
