We received a form in the mail stating that we were being offered a discount on a vacation and that we had 48 hours to respond or we would lose the discount. When we phoned we were told that we had until the end of the phone call to make up our minds. We gave our credit card number and while we were put on hold so they could veridy our information we decided to change our mind.
We were told that we had until the end of the conversation to make up our mind. When a person came back on the line and we told them that we had changed our mind an even better offer was made - at this point I said that we were still not interested they said to hear them out and at the end of the conversation they would if I still wanted to cancel then they would cancel the order. After listening to what she had to say I still said I was not interested and she agreed to cancel the order.
Within 5 minutes we received another call stating that we could not cancel as at the beginning of the call we were told that it was a non refundable offer and that they had registered us - they said that it was a taped call and that the credit card company would back them when I called to cancel the transaction. We are still persuing this with the credit card company and Ramada Vacation.
Stay as far away from this company as you can.
