I would like to hear from anyone who is currently suing or interested in filing a class action lawsuit against ODENZA MARKETING GROUP in Canada.
I attended a Monarch timeshare presentation in Los Angeles. They are just one of many companies who purchases these vacation pkgs. From Odenza AKA Fun Planet Vacations, to give as a gift. Odenza is responsible for all the problems concerning the (at the least) "misrepresentations" but what I consider outright "Fraud" committed upon customers.
I was offered a FREE 4 day/3 nite cruise to Mexico.in good faith, I naively referred several friends, relatives & business associates to the pesky telemarker, who told me my daugher could attend & get a separate "voucher" (vacation pkg) & we could travel together.
1. The cruise was not FREE. We had to pay nearly $300 each in "taxes & fees" (I later found out I could book the cruise direct through Carnival for LESS than Odeza demanded.) THIS AMOUNT WAS NEVER DSCLOSED & SMELLS OF FRAUD!
2. They told us we could choose 2 travel dates. They ignored both dates, giving us two of THEIR dates to choose from - one being right before Christmas, the other right after New Years, both being during hurricane season, when no on e wants to travel! We ended up having to pick a date 13 months away, yet had to pay them NOW.
3. After we paid the $300 each, a Crystal called to inform us our rooms consisted of "bunk beds" (I am a sr. Citizen, and both myself and my companion are disabled) in a room with no windows. I felt like I was being pimped when she informed me that a regular bed would cost $95 ea. Or a room with a window $135 each.
4. Also after we paid the $300 each, Crystal also told me that my daughter & I could not take our trips on the same date, even though we had separate vouchers, live in separate residences, and are traveling with other companions.
I have worked my way up the chain of command from Darren Single at (866) 721-6945 or (604) 678-1192 (a jerk who offered to do nothing, even after I filed complaints against the company) to his supervisor Rick Peters a (866) 225-1068 x227 or private caller ID (604) 451-1414 (even a bigger jerk, who accused me of being "rude & abusive"), and my next conversation will be with his supervisor, Mr. Sodi Hundal (877) 451-0525.
To date, we have complied with all their demands - undisclosed fees, inconvenient dates. Due to their unethical and possibly criminal tactics, I am asking for a FREE UPGRADE, which they are able to do, but so far have refused~ because customer service is not a priority to them. RIPPING PEOPLE OFF IS!
If you check, there's other complaints against this company on the internet. Can you imagine how any thousands of people they have bilked who have remained silent until now? THERE'S STRENGTH IN NUMBERS, especially with a potential lawsuit, filing complaints with the BBB, Attorney General's office, and getting criminal charges filed against them! Em
