Prior to Overseas trip searched internet for accomodation. Made bookings through Booking.com. You are required to submit credit card details so the Hotel can charge for no show. This is reasonable. Three months prior to leaving contacted booking.com to cancel reservation, this was done and email sent to me comfirming this had been done. This did not incur any cost. Shortly after my return credit card had been debited for the amount 100 Euro. Contacting the Hotel, was told that another booking had been made under my name. Booking.com reaffirmed the cancellation had been made. I did not make another booking. Trying to chase something like this from another Country is futile. Options are very limited. Would not like someone else being scammed like this. Would like to know of anyone else this has happened to.
