Over 50 friends booked and paid deposits for a Carnival Cruise on 9/12/08 going from Los Angeles for 3 nights.
Last week (6/15) we were all notified (3 months after booking) that Carnival had rented the whole boat out to an individual group and we were out, bye-bye. Our choices... Get back our deposit or move the cruise to San Diego for 4 nights or pick another weekend (if they had availability).
Those of us that had already made flight arrangements to L.A... Too bad. Those of us who cannot leave work a day earlier. Too bad.
Those of us who had other plans in Los Angeles... Too bad. The boat, which was almost fully booked, got bumped so Carnival could make a better deal for themselves (after accepting deposits).
What else was offered... Nothing. Not even an apology. They just care about the immdiate buck.
