Old hotel in need of updating

I came here for a 2 week conference. The room I had (on 12th flr) was clean but old. The toilet ran all the time even after they came to fix it (3 times) I finally just kept the door closed and stopped calling. A colleague changed her room 4 times because there are large air conditioners outside many of the windows and if you room is below the 6th floor they are very loud. Also some of the air conditioners in the rooms rattle. The rooms that have balconies are screwed shut “for safety reason”. The Gym is a joke but the pool is Ok.internet service works well. There are no stores / restaurants in walking distance (about 2 miles and you have to cross an expressway). Bottom Line: if you don't have to stay here try someplace else.
