I recently, 3rd april 08, received a telephone call saying i had won a trip for 6 days and 5 nights etc, for 4 people, in orlando, caypso cay resort.
I asked what the catch was, they said, it normally cost $6,000 usa, but today it would only cost me $598 aust.
I said that the money I had in my visa debit card i needed today on a urgent matter, they (he, from India, difficult to understand), said that doesnt matter, I would be contacted by some one becuase of insificient funds in my account, and I could arrange another day to pay.
I thought it too good to be true, but thought i would check out the package, when it arrived, and pay if it weas ok.
He gave me a 1800 number (not listed?), and a web site (no access?), because of course, when I went to the bank, the money ($299 aust - half the cost), had been already removed.
Tried everything to try and get into contact, but nothing worked.
So I cancelled my credit card, and think that I have lost my money.
I am a disabled person on a disabilty pension from Centrelink, so the money may seem small to some, but to me, its quite a lot...
If anyone has a direct phone no, email address etc, i would greatly appreciate you send it to me, or post them for me and others. Be aware.
