Just like everyone else, I recieved the fax at work and believed this to be legitimate. I first called and asked what this price of 398.00 included. I was told food, alcohol, hotel and non motorized water sports the only thing I had to take care of was airfare. Wow, my husband & I were sold!
I booked the next day with the understanding that I had absolutely nothing else out of pocket. This is when I was told that I had to pay 99.00 for taxes/fees/tips. I thought if this covered tipping, why not. I gave them my cc# and they ran it for 796.00.
I sent in my 99.00 2 weeks later and quickly recieved a phone call to book my dates and hotel. I told her when and she said nothing was available for those dates and that the hotel I was interested in was another 300.00.
I was confused and had many questions, but she told me I had to wait to talk to my agent when she was out of the hospital. No one else could help me?
I called the next morning asking for anyone to help me understand exactly what I purchased and no one had the time to help me. I was put on hold several times and shuffled between people. I called 5x in 4 days and was told 5x that my agent was sick and to call back next week.By far the rudest customer service agents I have ever dealt with.
The only info. Passed on to me was that if I wanted a nice hotel I would have to pay the upgrade fee or else I would be put in a hotel with 21 yr. Olds who dont care about the conditions of the hotel they stay in.
I decided to call the reservation # and talk to the lovely woman who booked my travel, I was told I would be on hold for 60 seconds, this ended up being 17 minutes before I hung up.
I am sick that this company has my cc# and from reading what others have written I know I will not get my hotel of choice or my $ back.
Has anyone had luck with their credit card company investigating or reimbursing for fraud? Please let me know!!
