On March 20, at 6:10 PM, my husband had his wallet professional pick pocketed from his back pocket in the casino on the Carnival Liberty. He took $1 out to play a slot machine, put his wallet back, played for 30 sec. Walked a few feet away, took his wallet out, and it was gone. The only person who came close enough to him was an employee wearing a crew's uniform. He reported it immediately to the the pursers desk who called security. Security checked the camera and convienently that slot machine was not covered by a camera. Shocking! We had to call the bank and credit card company. Carnival blames a drunk spring breaker, it couldn't be an employee! One purser admitted that they had alot of new young employees from poor countries. The wallet contained all his identification and approx. $540 in cash. According to other reports on this site, things are not safe in the safe provided. The casino manager stated the outside slot machines are not covered by camera. So beware. The wallet never turned up during the rest of the cruise. Very stressful and horrible thing to happen while on vacation.
