Three years ago I fell for the same scam! Once I got my package (video and accessories), I realised I would have to pay other fees (food, taxes, travel, etc.). On the phone, the agent "forgot" to tell me about the other costs. I summed it up to a very expensive mistake and told them I would not be travelling.
A year and a half ago, they call me and ask why I haven't travelled and asked if I wanted an extension. I said NO because I am from Northern Canada and it would cost me a "kidney" just to fly 2 people to Ft. Lauderdale. The lady thanked me and told me to have a nice day.
Last night, I recieve a phone call from Ramada telling me I owe more money!!! This is 3 years later!!! They told me my trip was expired and they expect me to pay more money! I told them to go to hell and if they wanted to talk to someone, I would be happy to give them my Lawyers phone number.
I have contacted my lawyer and I am SO HAPPY I found this site. It gives me hope that not only will I not have to pay, I may get my $1200 CDN back!!! Thanks and I will update!!!
