Com And Metrotravelguide.com travelocity is charging me $25 for each of 3 rooms that i did not reserve due to a website glitch

I tried to make a reservation for 1 room on the metrotravelguide.com website. I filled in all the necessary info including my credit card number. I clicked and the response told me that we're sorry but no rooms are available. It never told me that i had reserved a room (let alone 3.)

So i went to the hotel's website and made the reservation with them directly. A few minutes later, i had 3 emails from metrotravelguide.com telling me that i had made 3 reservations. I called to cancel the 3 reservations and they told me i would be charged a $25 cancellation fee for each reservation. They told me to call travelocity as they were the ones charging the cancellation fee.

After 1 1/2 hours on the phone, i made absolutely no progress and they refuse to understand that it is not my fault that the reservations were made. The website should not have told me that no rooms were available and it should have told me something like "congratulations, your reservation has been made!"

Metrotravelguide.com was fairly nice in finally waiving their $9.95 or $9.99 (?) booking fee. But travelocity refuses to understand what happened. Their customer care staff just kept saying there is nothing they can do about it. I'm sure that's because they're paid based on how much of the fees they can retain for the company. How pathetic.

After all the time i have spent, it is no longer about the $75 it's the principle. They should not get away with this. Thank you.
