As many other victims i to attended a seminar in N.H. At horizons travel company and bought into a vacation club with promises of a free cruise for two and a new england getaway... Just pay the 4000.00 dollars join and i will be contacted for a date to take the cruise send in a 100.00 dollars to reserve my date and away i go. So cool i thought. I was WRONG! I was then notified that Horizons along with the VIP travel agency went out of bussiness but i was still a member of TCI in good standing. Upon visiting the TCI website i was able to search for a trip and plan a trip through the sites two resort engine search venues. Then weeks later i recieved a letter that GREAT escapes out of lakeland florida bought out TCI and the website was under going new and improved changes that was approx a year and a half ago. To this day i am still not able to access the resort engine searches to shop for a vacation instead im referred to call the great escapes travel club and notify them where i want to go and they will try to best fit my needs. Well as you know half the fun is shopping and investigating the resorts yourself, comparing the resorts and hotels to see what best fits your vacation dreams. I then called upset and asked when was the website going to return to normal so i could search for a trip on my own. I was informed it may never have the resort engine search available again. Then the operater asked me what site i was using, thats when it occured to me that there was another club so i learned that they great escapes have that search vehicle available to thier members but not available to TCI members. Descrimination if you ask me HUGE RIPOFF GREAT ESCAPES YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!
