My parents have been travel agents for a few years now and yet it has only been just this morning that I learned of the horror they have had to endure when dealing with Carnival Cruise Lines. I guess they knew if I heard the truth, I would go ape. Bully for them!
When my folks sell cabins on a cruise, they are promised commission from the cruise line. Twice that I know of, CARNIVAL has sent a commission check with the wrong amount and when my parents try to get the problem fixed, they get smart ass barely-out-of-their teen customer service agents who hang up on them.
My parents were due $3000 and change for one cruise. I guess they sold 45 or 52 cabins. I don't know. Maybe more. And their check was $2000. Another time they were stiffed $500. They don't feel it's necessary to complain, as my mother just said this morning: "They're so big. They don't give a damn!"
Well, I'm, here to prove her wrong. I'm here to prove that a big ape company like Carnival can be brought to a reckoning. They can be made to pay what they owe. Is anyone out there willing and/able to lend a hand? I don't know if this post will send me notice if I get a reply.
