What a scam this is, by far. The most difficult company to work with! Beware customer service will hang up on you! Ripoff

We received a "no strings attached" 3 days 2 night vacation package for sitting through the Planet Hollywood / Westgate timeshare promotion in Las Vegas. I contacted Worldwide Travel approximately 100 day prior to my vacation date they stated that they could not reserve anything more than 90 days before the vacation date. O.K. I understand that, so I waited until the 90 day mark had past and called in to make the reservation. They stated that I was in luck my destination was available and they asked if I would like to make the reservation. I stated yes to the representative and she stated that because I was calling in to them to make the reservation I would need to sit through another timeshare presentation. I refused and she stated that the only way to avoid the timeshare presentation was to mail in the reservation form to them and wait for a response.

The form does state that in the fine print that "you will be offered exciting vacation opportunities in the resort area in the hope that you will vacation with the resort in the future" it does not say that it is mandatory. Well I did what they said, sent the reservation form, my dates, and my letter for credit card authorization, everything they asked for, with delivery confirmation to them. The day after they received the reservation form they called me and stated that I was in luck, they had availability at my 1st choice and they wanted to set the reservation. I was excited, this was actually going to work, or so I thought... The representative stated that since she was calling me to set the reservation, I would have to sit through a timeshare presentation. I refused again and told her to just make the reservation without the presentation. She stated that she could not do that and I asked to speak to a supervisor, it was at that point that I got hung up on for the first of four times. I called numerous times later that week to find out the status of my reservation and every time I got the run around as to why I had to sit through a presentation. I asked to speak with managers, and no one really knew who the supervisors names are. I was hung up on a total of four times.

When I finally left a message for a supervisor, it took a week for a response. I was very surprised when they called, I thought for sure I would get some resolution... I did, she basically stated that the place I wanted to go was not available to go for the dates that I requested, and that it was all based on availability. I stated that it was available when your rep called me but she hung up on me. I finally got the word that you pretty much have to go on the presentation or else you won't get a date. If anyone wants to start a class action against this scam company I would support it and help in any way I can. I can not stand being treated like this!!! Good luck to you all.By the way the reps I dealt with were, Faith, Stephanie, Amanda, Patricia (the supervisor) and Tuesday, thanks for doing absolutely nothing to get my issue resolved.

If there are any lawyers reading this, it states on the form that the retail value of this vacation is $175.00, based on what I am reading out there, this is a pretty popular marking piece, and if we could get something started against them, there would probably be some good money in it
