There's a deaf cruise being organized on www.deafcruise.com so I asked them to help me find a roommate for the Hawaii Deaf Cruise 2007 that's on Aug. 19-26. They got me in touch with a deaf woman. We talked on vp and she signed in ASL to me. We decided that we'd like to share an Oceanview cabin on this deaf cruise. We planned to get in touch for more details concerning hotel. I mailed a $1,099.00 check dated 06/06/07 to the Deaf Cruise that's in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Deaf Cruise's vp # is 480.555.1212 as listed on www.DeafCruise.com and 480.555.5555 as listed on Sorensen videophone directory and their sales consultant is Julie.
Luanne told me that she'd be busy moving to another place within the next 3 weeks but she'd keep in touch with me via e-mail and vp. She gave me her e-mail address I called her on vp but connection could not be established and my e-mails were returned to me. So I called the Deaf Cruise on vp and I got Benjamin Pena on vp. He signed in ASL and told me that Luanne is trying to apply for a passport. But it's been more than a month and still no word from Luanne or Deaf Cruise.
I called the Deaf Cruise on vp a number of times but they would not answer. I've also e-mailed them but still no reply from them. I get the sick feeling that I'm being scammed because they have not sent me a sales receipt or a booking ID#! I checked with my bank online and I see that the check has been deposited and only a signature on the back but no bank info is stamped on it. Please find out for me if these people are scammers. I already purchased a round-trip plane ticket between Billings, MT and Honolulu, HI and I have a hotel room on hold. I don't want to go and find out that I have to pay double for a room or they don't have my name on their passengers list. I would greatly appreciate your letting me know what's going on with these people.
