Super 8 Motel
Gatlinburg The web site says free High speed internet but NO, Lost 2 days pay

I booked 2 rooms in the above mentioned motel through your web site. For 12/27 and 12/28 (2 nights). The website said that the motel provides FREE HIGH SPEED INTERNET. (They still say so)

I am a Programmer who is supporting a financial application in night. So a high speed internet is a need for me. So I booked the rooms. I checked in about 8 PM on 12/27 went to the room and I searched for the high speed internet port or any kind of highspeed wireless internet.
I DID NOT find any.
I called the receptionist. She was abrupt and said that we dont have high speed internet, and i have no idea why those people publish that we have internet connection.

then i went to the reception and a manager kind of guy appeared and told me there is no internet connection, do you want to check emails.

do i want to check emails no i am supporting a database application which requires high speed internet connection and when i booked the rooms the website told me that you have. His answer is cool, We will be having the high speed internet connection in one month, and the website published we have internet connection and it is their mistake.

WOW A VERY NICE ANSWER. And who is the loser. Its me who lost 2 days of pay. And what mistake did I do Booking a motel through your website. I called the customer service and he adviced me to file a complaint after I vacate the motel.

So I did file the complaint. I came back today and saw the website and it still says the motel has high speed internet connection. They wanted 7 days for them to contact the Motel. And then They told me they needed another 7 days for the motel to respond.

I called them today, the answer I got is they have high speed internet and the manager offered me and I didnot use it. WHAT? When did this happen. I was told if I want to check mails I can come in to his room and can check mails. I am supporting a database application Which runs in the midnight and I was told no one is allowed inside the lobby after midnight.

Basically they don't have internet connection for hotel guests and still the website claims they have High speed internet connection. The internet connection is for their (motel 8 gatlinburg) personal use.

My advice - Busines users, Business/Pleasure users AVOID the above mentioned place.
