I don't remember how it all started butI received a package from Ramada Plaza Resorts and followed the information in it. I was offered a deal for a trip. When I called the number given I was told that I'd have to make a payment at that time or the trip would be forfeited.
I made the payment and mentioned it to my mom. She said she'd send me some information from the AARP magazine which told me that a scam is not only costing people additional money but that the accomodations are "ususally less than desirable."
Judy Pepper, President of the Central Florida Better Business Bureau in Orlando says they use all forms of advertisement and that though you believe you're getting a wholesale-priced vacation you end up paying more than you would making your own arrangements and getting less.
The report further says that Ramada Plaza Resorts has generated thousand of complaints for its bait-and-switch tactics.
