Cost me $1,800, And tell me only a few people have this problem! Ripoff

I have never used expedia before because of all the night-mares i have heard from others. But, agaist my better judgement i purchased a ticket for departing from athens greece to san fransico, they sold me a ticket departing from athens georgia, in the united states. Not on one place on the website or on my ticket does it say i purchased a ticket for a flight in the united states of america. To say the least i had to purchase another ticket at the athens airport in greece to get home which cost another $1,345.00. The travel agent i purchased the ticket told me during the 2004 olympics several people had the same problem. I emailed expedia to inform them, the day i got back to the united states, the same day my fight departed, but obviously after the flight departed because i was traveling on a plan from europe and the time change did not allow me to contact them prior. They claim they would have given me a credit if i would have contacted them prior to the departure. Obviously i could not do that. I have spent a week via emails back and forth and several phone calls to different supervisors. They have no legal department to contact via email, and they claim there is notheing they can do. And they claim that just because a few people don't understand there website that they will not bother to clairify that you are purchasing a ticket for a flight in the united states of america, and because they are a united states america web site they do not need to claify that the ticket i purchased is for the united states... Sounds like our country. The only information i recieved to file a legal action is an address attention legal department 3150 139 ave s.E. Bellevue, was 98005 1-800-615-1053. I am filing a legal action because they need to notify people of what country they are purchasing tickets, and they refuse to clairify the website in example add the words united states of america or even U.S. A how hard is that. I am filing this action because i don't want others to experience the night-mare the expedia night-mare!!!
